About Shubhra

Hello, my name is Shubhra,

I have been practicing Reiki since 2021 and meditation for over 30 years.

My interest in nutrition and wellbeing have been building for many years and more recently I discovered the benefits of Ayurvedic lifestyle practices.

In 2025 I qualified as an Ayurvedic Practitioner and also a Heart Meditation trainer, I understand the profound importance of balancing the mind, body and spirit as one interconnected being.

Drawing on the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda alongside the transformative practice of heart-centered meditation, I support individuals in addressing the root causes of imbalance rather than simply treating the symptoms.

My approach weaves together personalised lifestyle guidance, nutrition and holistic therapies with gentle, yet powerful meditative practice that cultivates emotional clarity and inner peace. By nurturing both physical vitality and energetic harmony, I create a safe and compassionate space for deep healing, self-awareness and lasting wellbeing.

I have the deepest gratitude for this adventure and the opportunity to share all that I have learnt.

I welcome the opportunity to connect with you, helping you find balance in all areas of life.

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is an ancient system of holistic health that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. The word Ayurveda means “the science of life,” and it focuses on maintaining balance between the mind, body and spirit to support overall wellbeing.

At its core, Ayurveda is based on the idea that each person has a unique constitution, or dosha (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), which influences their physical, mental and emotional tendencies. When these doshas are in balance, we experience health and vitality; when they are out of balance, discomfort and illness can arise.

Rather than only treating symptoms, Ayurveda aims to address the root cause of imbalance through personalised approaches to nutrition, daily routine, lifestyle practices, herbal support, and natural therapies.

The emphasis is on living in harmony with nature’s rhythms, including the seasons and the body’s internal clock.

Ultimately, Ayurveda is a preventative and empowering approach to health, encouraging individuals to develop awareness of their body and cultivate daily habits that support long-term balance, wellbeing and longevity.

What is Reiki?

Reiki’s story begins with its founder, Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese scholar, and spiritual seeker. Pictured on the right.

Reiki is a gentle, holistic healing practice that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word Reiki translates to “universal life energy,” referring to the subtle energy that flows through all living things.

In a Reiki session the practitioner uses light touch or places their hands just above the body to support the natural flow of energy. This process is believed to help clear energetic blockages, restore balance, and activate the body’s own healing response.

Reiki works on physical, emotional, mental and energetic levels. It is deeply relaxing, helping to reduce stress, calm the nervous system, and promote a sense of peace and wellbeing. Many people also find it supports emotional release, clarity, and a deeper connection to themselves.

As a complementary therapy, Reiki can be used alongside other treatments and self-care practices, offering a nurturing and non-invasive way to support overall balance and healing.

What is Heart Meditation?

Heart meditation is a gentle practice that brings awareness to the heart space, helping you move beyond the busy thinking mind into a state of calm, connection and emotional balance.

Rather than focusing only on breath or thoughts, it invites you to center your attention on feelings such as gratitude, compassion and love.

By resting awareness in the heart, this practice helps regulate the nervous system, reduce stress and soften emotional tension.

Over time, it can deepen self-awareness, support emotional healing, and enhance your ability to respond to life with presence and kindness.

Heart meditation is simple, accessible and deeply grounding, offering a pathway to reconnect with your inner wisdom and cultivate a lasting sense of peace and harmony.
